Father's day post from Scotty & Karlee

Since it's Father's Day we got the password from Mom to tell the world how much we love our Daddy! He is so great, he lets us ride on his lap when we go for rides, he even rolls down his window and let's get all the wind we can handle. He is always telling Mom to let us go on rides with them. He also sneaks us a little bit of food from his plate when Mom isn't looking, cuz he knows we really like their food better. We also wanted to tell our Daddy that we know he's going to be a great Daddy to our future brothers or sisters, whenever we can get them here. So Happy Father's Daddy, we love you! Scotty & Karlee

Here's a picture that Mom took of us with our Dad, We love you!

Karlee really likes this picture of her and Daddy!

Scotty is embarressed that Mom was able to sneak this picture of him and Dad, but he loves it all the same.

Happy Father's Day!

It's Father's Day today, and we want to take a minute to tell everyone we know and anyone who cares at all. How wonderful our Father's our! It's no secret that Jo is a Daddy's girl and even though she hasn't known her Dad -in-law quite as long, he is still one of the top men in her life! Both of our Father's have not only taught us so much about life and so on, they have done so much for us. We could never fully repay either of them for how much they have done for us, and they just keep doing it! We want both of our Dad's to know that without them we would be COMPLETELY lost. Not a day goes by that we don't realize all that you have done, and continue to do for us. So to our Father's you are very WONDERFUL. We love you & Happy Father's Day! To the many other Father's in our lives Happy Father's Day to you.

Daddy Bills, bein just a lil goofy! We told him he was going to regret this pose

Unfortunately our pics of Dad Noe aren't as up to date, but here is a pic of our AWESOME Daddy Noe

We don't have a pic of just Jo w/ her wonderful Dad Noe, so we figured we would show how great a Dad he is to his Daughter! We love you, Dad!

As you read earlier, Daddy's girl through and through! And dang Proud of it! We love you Daddy Bills!

Four Wheeler Day

So as Jo got off work on Friday, Darin informed her that Saturday they were going Fourwheelin. HMMMM she thought, I was going to clean house and do the touch-up paint, but hey we have had the fourwheeler's since April and haven't been able to take them out yet! So ok we were both game! Waking up early Saturday morning it looked like the weather was game for our plans as well. YAY!!! We packed a cooler full of lunch, treats and drinks, stopped at the gas station to fill everything up, stopped at Jo's parents house to load the two quads up and we were on our way. Well we did have to fix a flat on the trailer, but easy fix. We were finally able to spend the day together doing something we both enjoy. And something we have both been looking forward to since April. The weather cooperated most of the day. Got a few sprinkles here and there in the afternoon, and it cooled off about 3 so we loaded up and headed down the mountain. Unfortunately, I didn't get too many pics of the ride and views we seen, carrying around the camera is rough on some of those trails. We need to invest in a smaller one for stuff like this. Anywho here are the few pics we did get. Enjoy!

Darin fixin the flat on the trailer so intently might I add

All packed up and headin out

Darin & Jo all ready for a day of fourwheelin' fun! It was well needed, it's been a rough couple of weeks

Yard Sale

Since Darin and Jo have moved to Vernal, we have had a Yard Sale each year. Last weekend was our Yard Sale weekend. We had our stuff, Jo's Parents stuff, Our nephew Lonnie's stuff, and Laura, Korbin, Emily, Kellie, and Emilo put a few things in. We did really well and sold a lot! Here are a few pics of Korbin on Yard Sale weekend!
So tired, he fell asleep on Scotty & Karlee's pillow. Apparently Darin and Jo have taught them very well to share!
Another view of Korbin sleepin ow so soundly on the pillow! Think it's safe to say he was POOPED?

While setting stuff up and making the signs, someone pulled Korbin's pants up like Urkel! Even disguised as Urkel isn't he just a doll.

House for Sale!!

It's true and now completely official, we have listed our house on the market! Here is the link to see the listing including pictures of our home. For now we are staying here in Vernal, the plan is to get a large 5th wheel trailer and stay in that. This will help us pay off the debt that we currently have a little bit quicker. It will in turn allow us to feel more comfortable to sign on the loan we have been approved for to go get started on the IVF treatments to begin our family. If we don't sell right away it's ok, however we are both excited about the change, and the chance to really be able to get a clean slate in the money department. Hopefully this post will ease some of the rumors we have heard about why we are selling and so on. We also know that when it does come to the point that we have an exciting baby announcement, we will need to have more room in our home for that. So this should also help with that as well. Spread the word, and keep checkin back for more updates.

Another Proud Aunt & Uncle Moment!

In February there was an addition to the Bills family. Jo's sister Laura adopted Korbin Michael Bills. The adoption was final Feb 24, 2009 and Korbin was 13 months old at the time. He has been such a blessing to our family. He fits right in, and we all enjoy having him around. He's even spent the night at Uncle D & Aunt B's house. And yes we still want kids! Jo's dad said we have to limit our time with him, so we continue to strive for pregancy! We just love having him around! He adores his Papa and has him wrapped around his lil finger. This past Sunday Korbin was blessed by Papa at Church, so we got a chance to spend a lil extra time with him. Here are a few pics of blessing day. Unfortunately Uncle D was working that morning and couldn't make it to church with the rest of the Bills clan but he was able to join as afterwards as we had dinner with Korbin & Laura! As I'm sure you can all tell, it's not hard to fall in Love with lil Korbin!

Korbin in his lil blessing outfit!

Not his biggest smile! But look at what a big boy he is!

Korbin lovin on his Proud mama, Laura. For those of you that don't know or can't tell (lol) this is Jo's older sister.

Korbin and his proud Papa Bills!

Korbin loves his Grandma Bills as well, and she is also a Proud proud Grandma!

And again another Proud Auntie moment for Aunt B!

Milt's ace hardware & Radioshack

Anyone in Vernal need a local place to go get just about anything? Try going to Milt's Ace Hardware & Radioshack. It's local so you are supporting our community, not to mention they sell just about everything under the sun. I hear their Office Manager Rocks too, but I may just be biased. But really I do like to shop there, the people are friendly, they seem to know what they are doing, I mean they know more than me doesn't take much for that, but they tell me how I can do stuff and it usually works! You should also go check out their blog at
http://miltsacehardwareandradioshack.blogspot.com/ Check it out. When you go into the store, make sure you give a shout to Annalee, she is pretty much awesome and needs to hear it every once in awhile! Stop in say Hi!

Michael visit Day 3!

Day 3 started late, as we were all so tired we just wanted to sleep in! We started out at Dinah, Vernal's famous Pink Dinosaur and took some pictures. Then it was on to the museum's and gift shops in Vernal. We started out at the Dinosaur Museum, it was redone about 5 years ago and we have never been in, it's really neat and very interactive for learning. Blake LOVED it to say the least, he is really into Dinosaur's so he was in Heaven there. We then went to the Western Heritage museum where there are alot of displays showing the area's history of Lane Frost the bullrider, and Butch Cassidy and things like that. It also is the home to the Doll's that have been made by a local woman representing each of the First Lady's of the United States. These are pieces of work because each of them is in a gown made to reflect the gown that they wore to the Inaugaration of their husband. Unfortunately there is a strict rule of NO camera's at this museum, total bummer but no pics of that outing. For any of you that don't know Jeremy, this was right up his ally. He is really into the Old western stuff and he seemed to really enjoy looking around here. He really liked the Lane Frost display, as well as the information about Butch Cassidy & his group. He was able to find a Butch Cassidy and a Sundance Kid wanted poster. Jeremy and Darin left Jill and the kids to shop for the souvenours while they fixed the water pump for the long drive home. Shopping in gift stores with 3 young kids for souvenours, well an experience to say the least! At last each of the kids found their perfect souvenour to take with them to remember their trip to Utah with. We then packed everyone up, went to the park for a picnic and watched a lil bit of a baseball game that was going on. Then we loaded up, changed and went swimming at the Uintah Rec Center which has been open here in Vernal just a year this month. Again a first for us! After getting some energy out of us swimming and watching Darin and Jeremy duke it out over a few games of pool, we went home found a few snacks and watched 8 seconds! We then crashed into bed. The next morning we woke up and let the kids get their Wii on! They played a few of our games, we had some lunch and then we put in Dance Dance Revolution to really get them tired before sitting in the car for about 18-20 hours. The visit was jam packed with stuff to do, and we didn't make it to everything we wanted to show them, but we are hoping that they can come again for a visit! We would like to Thank everyone that helped them while they were here with their chores, and daily life back in Iowa so that they could take a very much needed break. Darin and Jo would like to also thank Jeremy & Jill for coming, being such wonderful friends, and great visitors in our home. Your family is welcome here anytime. We hope they had a good visit, we didn't wear them out too much, and that we were able to throw in a little something for everyone! Love you guys!

Michael visit Day 2

Day two of the Michael's visit to Utah included a trip to the Wyoming state line, Flaming Gorge Dam and area, Red Canyon Lodge, and a Drive-in Movie! We started the drive to the Wyoming line which is about 1 1/2 hours from Vernal give or take pretty early that day. We stopped at the view areas and showed everyone the Red Fleet of ships in the rocks up by Red Fleet Reservoir. Then we went into Manila and got a few pictures on the Wyoming border, we headed back down to Flaming Gorge Dam and took the Dam tour to show the kids the workings of the dam and the Green River area while we waited out a small rain storm. Then it was onto Red Canyon Lodge and overlook view areas and lunch. After this we had to stop and take a picture of the pretty waterfall for Jo, who loves waterfall and eyes this one every trip up the mountain, always wishing they had the camera or time to stop. Really it is pretty and is just off the highway! After making it back down to Vernal we all had dinner and went to the Drive in movie. Jill & the kids had never been to a Drive in and when we learned this, it was a must to go. We seen X-Men Wolverine and Ghosts of Girlfriends past. It was a very tiring day, but also very fun! Here are few pics from the day!
Jo's waterfall! At Red Canyon Lodge drivin in we noticed the deer back in the trees eating, here is one of the few pics we got of them enjoying their snack.

Michael visit, Fourwheeling fun

On Saturday after all our adventures, we went to Jo's parent's house for a lil Barbeque. Since we didn't really have time to take the Michael family up in the Mountain's for a day of Fourwheelin fun, we took them out in the field for a little fun before dinner. Fun it was! Darin got him and Jo stuck in the mud, JP decided he was goin "fishin" for them with the fourwheel and winch, and well he got stuck to. Jeremy ended up pulling JP out with his own winch, then they got Darin and Jo out. We weren't in the field riding around for too long, but while we were out there, we had a lot of fun! Thanks to Mom & Dad Bills for opening up their home for us to have a Barbeque there. They too enjoy getting visits from our Iowa family and friends! For those of you that don't know Jo too well, she's pretty girly so mud and gettin dirty isn't really what she does a lot. Although going through it she was was saying EWWW and YUCK, and she was one of the first one's in the bathroom to wash up, even she had fun and would do this again. Bring on the MUD!!!!
The whole gang coming back from fourwheeling! Yes we are all muddy at this point.

Jill & Jo we were both on the back of the fourwheeler's when our episode happened with the mud so we both got a little bit of mud on us. Jo was wearing a pretty new pair of flip-flops and yes they are caked in mud!

Jeremy & Darin & JP visiting for a few minutes. Jill wondering how we are gonna get back in the car and make it to Darin & Jo's house bein all muddy. Not to mention how are we gonna get in Mom & Dad Bills' house and eat dinner being this muddy.

Michael's visit trip to Josie's Cabin & State lines

After driving through the Ouray area and seeing the formations at Fantasy Canyon we were so close to the state line, we got some pics of the family with the Colorado state line & the Utah state line. Then we headed back to town and made a stop at the Dinosaur National Monument just outside Jensen, since the monument is closed right now, we kept going to Josie's Cabin. For those of you unfamiliar with Josie's cabin. Josie Morris Bassett is famous for well hiding Outlaws. They say that this cabin and the land around it was built up by Josie and then she would hide outlaws like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid! Just a little bit of history on the Vernal area. The field (meadow) behind Josie's cabin.
This is Josie's Cabin. Notice how uneven the the roof is and how very low the ceilings are. The plaque's all said that Josie, her grandson, and a few of his friends built this from the ground up.

This is one of the plaques in front of the cabin, it tells Josie's story and has a few pictures of her.

Iowa Visitor's Fantasy Canyon trip!

So last weekend we were able to see some of our good friends from Iowa. The Michael family was able to make it to Utah for their vacation, we had so much fun showing them around, and visiting with them. We wore everyone out each day and we were all able to sleep well each night. Here is a recap of our daily events with Jeremy, Jill, Blake, JP & Karissa Michael!
They drove into town from Iowa, which is a very long drive, they got into Vernal Friday evening, so we relaxed at our house, had some pizza, visited and played Wii! On Saturday morning we woke early and drove out South of Ouray (oilfield area) to show them the Oil & Gas rigs we have and what Darin does each day. Then we went to Fantasy Canyon, which is a small little park to walk around and let your imagination run WILD. There are rocks everywhere, and trees for shade nowhere! Here are a few pictures from our Fantasy Canyon excursion.

Jeremy was pointing out the flying elephant, Dumbo. Can you see it?
Jill & Blake just ahead of the rest of us!

Blake, JP & Karissa are trying to explain to Darin the formation they are looking at.
