Michael visit Day 3!

Day 3 started late, as we were all so tired we just wanted to sleep in! We started out at Dinah, Vernal's famous Pink Dinosaur and took some pictures. Then it was on to the museum's and gift shops in Vernal. We started out at the Dinosaur Museum, it was redone about 5 years ago and we have never been in, it's really neat and very interactive for learning. Blake LOVED it to say the least, he is really into Dinosaur's so he was in Heaven there. We then went to the Western Heritage museum where there are alot of displays showing the area's history of Lane Frost the bullrider, and Butch Cassidy and things like that. It also is the home to the Doll's that have been made by a local woman representing each of the First Lady's of the United States. These are pieces of work because each of them is in a gown made to reflect the gown that they wore to the Inaugaration of their husband. Unfortunately there is a strict rule of NO camera's at this museum, total bummer but no pics of that outing. For any of you that don't know Jeremy, this was right up his ally. He is really into the Old western stuff and he seemed to really enjoy looking around here. He really liked the Lane Frost display, as well as the information about Butch Cassidy & his group. He was able to find a Butch Cassidy and a Sundance Kid wanted poster. Jeremy and Darin left Jill and the kids to shop for the souvenours while they fixed the water pump for the long drive home. Shopping in gift stores with 3 young kids for souvenours, well an experience to say the least! At last each of the kids found their perfect souvenour to take with them to remember their trip to Utah with. We then packed everyone up, went to the park for a picnic and watched a lil bit of a baseball game that was going on. Then we loaded up, changed and went swimming at the Uintah Rec Center which has been open here in Vernal just a year this month. Again a first for us! After getting some energy out of us swimming and watching Darin and Jeremy duke it out over a few games of pool, we went home found a few snacks and watched 8 seconds! We then crashed into bed. The next morning we woke up and let the kids get their Wii on! They played a few of our games, we had some lunch and then we put in Dance Dance Revolution to really get them tired before sitting in the car for about 18-20 hours. The visit was jam packed with stuff to do, and we didn't make it to everything we wanted to show them, but we are hoping that they can come again for a visit! We would like to Thank everyone that helped them while they were here with their chores, and daily life back in Iowa so that they could take a very much needed break. Darin and Jo would like to also thank Jeremy & Jill for coming, being such wonderful friends, and great visitors in our home. Your family is welcome here anytime. We hope they had a good visit, we didn't wear them out too much, and that we were able to throw in a little something for everyone! Love you guys!
